Inside a Liaigre-designed Mégève chalet

Nestled at the heart of Mégève in the French Alps, close to the iconic Le Fer à Cheval hotel, is a magical traditional wood-framed chalet. Inside this family home, the atmosphere shifts: rustic charm gives way to contemporary elegance, the interior conceived by the French design house Liaigre.

A refined simplicity pervades this 757sq m mountain refuge, where simple linen wafts at the windows against a backdrop of rich veneers and textural plaster walls. There are six bedrooms with private bathrooms, in addition to the luxurious comforts of a spa, pool and ski room.

The furniture arrangement is composed of sober, functional, comfortable pieces, combining iconic Liaigre designs and new creations (from the Etrier suspension lamp, to the Saint-Germain and Equus armchair). Cohesive materials and finishes – wood, lacquer, bronze – are echoed by a palette of nature-driven tonalities lending a sense of restful elegance to the space.
