Oasis and Depeche Mode are two of the stellar names headlining the HELP(2) album in aid of War Child. Depeche Mode has released "Universal Soldier", a cover of the anti-war song by Buffy Sainte-Marie, on the charity album, while Oasis has contributed an exclusive live version of âAcquiesce (Live from Wembley Stadium, 28 September â25)â, regarded as one of the greatest B-sides ever released. Its stand-alone 7â single is enclosed within the gatefold of the vinyl edition, and as a hidden track on the double CD version.
The first legendary HELP album â a 1995 compilation recorded in a single day by top British bands including Oasis, Radiohead and Blur â raised more than ÂŁ1.25mn for War Child to aid children in the Bosnian War. This was followed by a 10th anniversary album Help: A Day in the Life (2005), featuring bands such as Cold Play, which raised nearly ÂŁ2mn within just three days of its release for the War Child charity

Created in the spirit of the original Help album, the new project was brought to life with Abbey Road Studios, and recorded predominantly across one week in November 2025 under the stewardship of producer James Ford. Renowned filmmaker and Academy Award Winner Jonathan Glazer acted as creative director for HELP(2) working with Academy Films to assemble a team of creatives and overseeing the filming and art direction for the project. Glazer and Mica Leviâs concept was âBy Children, For Childrenâ with cameras handed to children in order to see the world through their eyes. Glazerâs team worked with fixers and filmmakers in Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen and Sudan to gather footage filmed by the children on the ground in these conflict zones. Â
