Paris Design Week – the highlights

De Gournay x Antoine Billore

Antoine Billore, the antiques dealer and scenographer, took over de Gournay’s rue des Saints-Pères boutique to showcase its hand-painted wallpapers and hand-crafted porcelain with pieces showcasing his own eclectic design aesthetic. Billore designed a pair of custom wooden plinths for the porcelain vases and a custom room divider adorned with a hand-painted "pine trees "design.

Curated by Eleonora Bojanowska and Bartosz Brylewski, this exhibition by the Visteria Foundation (which was established by Katarzyna Jordan in 2025 to promote Polish contemporary craft) and the Polish Institute in Paris, explores the connection between artists and the earth through material, landscape, memory, and place of origin.

Running until 4th October at the Institut Polonais de Paris, the showcase brings together works by Huba Studio (Jakub Ciemachowski & Piotr Kołakowski), Bart Brylew Studio, Grôpk (Marcin Kuberna), Studio Daniel K (Daniel Kołodziejczak), Formsophy (Alicja Prussakowska & Jakub Kijowski), Anna Milczanowska, Marek Ćwięk, Jan Ankiersztajn & Anna Jechorek, Agnieszka Owsiany, Bartłomiej Stawińsk et Aleksandra Zawistowska (Szkło Studio).

Le Grand Bouquet

The French design studio Uchronia, founded by Julien Sebban, is an innovator in vibrant, experiential spaces. Its projects range from the transformation of a luxury suite at London's Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel into a surreal, temporary art exhibition for London’s Frieze Art Fair, to large-scale pop-up installations of oversized flowers and a pinwheel at the Coachella Music Festival in California. Cue Paris and the studio’s monumental installation within the Rotunda d'Antin of the Grand Palais named Le Grand Bouquet – another gigantic floral installation “affirming the power of beauty, imagination, and optimism as tools for building connections and sharing a collective experience.” To that end, Uchronia collaborated with several brands on the construction of the piece: including Fenix which crafted the surfaces and Atelier François Pouenat, which made the metal structure. The seating at the base of the installation was produced by Tréca Paris with upholstery by Manufacture Prelle.

Yves Salomon Éditions

The design arm of the French fashion house presented Tactile Monuments – its first furniture collection designed entirely in-house. The pieces are conceived in shearling — the house’s signature material — which emphasises a series of organic forms with a sexy retro-futuristic aesthetic.

Ebur

The Parisian interior architecture and design studio founded by Racha Gutierrez and Dahlia Hojeij unveiled its first gallery space for Ebur Editions – its furniture, lighting, and decorative objects arm – at rue d'Aboukir.

Schumacher

The fabric and wallpaper house unveiled a new collection developed in collaboration with Parisian artist Caroline Rennequin at an exhibition at its rue Jacob showroom. The collaboration translates Rennequin's vivid, 1970s-infused flower paintings into a range of textiles, wallpapers and decorative objects.

Franck Genser

The French contemporary furniture designer created an exhibition conceived as the private home of a contemporary collector, highlighting  curated selections of furniture, lighting, art and objects by designers and artists. Within this world, he presented three works: the Cascade Finie 190 floor lamp, featuring a vertical sequence of hand-sculpted alabaster cones, which draws inspiration from Japanese rain chains. The Pin table lamp, also explored in alabaster, balancing rigour of line with the softness of the stone, and the Décision armchair, one of Genser’s signature works echoing the legacy of Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, one of the most important figures of the Art Deco movement, which is crafted in solid wood and stained ash creating tension between modernity and tradition.

Reda Amalou x Olivier Gagnère

The unique creative universes of French architect-designer Reda Amalou and renowned designer Olivier Gagnère are brought together at the Formes en regard exhibition at the Secret Gallery Paris, which ends this Saturday, 19th September. The exhibition features furniture, ceramics and collages sharing concepts of geometric line, textured material and artisanal gesture. The designers' contemporary works are complemented by a curated selection of fine art from major 20th-century and contemporary figures, including Poliakoff, Marfaing, Arman, Youssef Boubekeur and Yann Masseyeff.

Carpenters Workshop Gallery

The Paris gallery’s exhibition Legenda, presents three new works by Frederik Molenschot from his City Light series.  CL Sable, CL Mer, and CL Paradis are inspired by the dune landscapes and beaches of the Dutch coast where the artist lives, each capturing a unique facet of the region through colour and form. The showcase runs until 15th March.

Veermakers

The Swedish design house, founded by interior designer Louise Liljencrantz, has opened its first Paris outpost on rue de Turenne in the heart of the Marais. The space showcases a selection of designs and new launches – the pieces crafted in workshops in Finland and Sweden. An exhibition dedicated to the Swedish artist LG Lundberg features oil paintings inspired by the Swedish archipelago.

Garnier & Linker

The French lighting brand has launched Aurora, its first outdoor collection, in which it has reinterpreted existing indoor pieces – Nezu, Kora, Teree and Thea – as outdoor designs in cast aluminium. Unveiled at its rue de l’Échiquie showroom, the new collection is versatile and can also be used indoors, lending interior spaces an architectural sensibility.

Bitossi Home

Bitossi Home showcased its latest collections and product launches, exploring the “Art de la Table” as a space for creative expression at the Maison&Objet fair. Messaggi by Pietro Terzini, is a collection of five small plates featuring his signature messages. Doppio Gioco explores table textiles through stripes, contrasts and multiple combinations, while Gagliardetto by Danish designer and illustrator Maria Nielsen, brings four wall hangings to the home. Scacchi, meanwhile, is a collection of vases that reinterprets the classic checkerboard motif.

Lignon

French stationery brand Lignon 1895 launched its inaugural collection at its boutique on rue des Coutures Saint-Gervais. The ensemble – notebooks and paper, correspondence cards, desk accessories and alphabet stamps that are hand-crafted in one of France's last remaining traditional workshops – is focused on heritage craft, featuring custom typographic prints created on historic antique presses.

Hauvette & Madani

The “La 23ème heure” (The 23rd Hour) is the third furniture series from the Paris-based interior architecture and design studio founded by Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani. It features collectible pieces echoing Art Deco in line and materials (rotary-cut birch, lacquer, coloured glass, satin and linen) subverted with a contemporary spirit. The line-up includes a low-slung sofa and a matching upholstered lounge chair, a trio of nesting coffee tables, a side table, a bedside cabinet, mirror and lighting.

Modern Metier

Tropic of Capricorn is a new collection of seven sculptural furniture and lighting pieces created in collaboration with French designer Rudy Guénaire. The ensemble is defined by sinuous form with Guénaire drawing references from the curvilinear shapes of airport terminals – and the slick, modern advances in travel and architecture.

Unifor

The contemporary design house for office and commercial spaces showcased Made to Measure and Giuditta, two product families developed in collaboration with starchitects Herzog & de Meuron. MTM – Made to Measure is conceived as an open and scalable system with a rigorous geometric framework. Giuditta reinterprets the archetype of the classic chair through a contemporary architectural lens. The family comprises indoor and outdoor seating.

Corpus Studio x Relax Factory

Corpus Studio transformed Relax Factory’s upholstery atelier on rue Bonaparte into an open workshop where visitors were able to observe the making of Corpus’ Strata armchair. The piece was presented in two versions: one in dark brown-stained ash with black mohair, and the other in bleached Douglas fir with absinthe-coloured raw silk.

Christofle

The French silversmith house unveiled Club 30, an exclusive new barware collection celebrating the art of entertaining. The design draws on the Art Deco aesthetic, marrying polished stainless steel with fluted, ribbed detailing and is focussed around a five-piece bar set, which includes a champagne bucket, an insulated ice bucket, and matching Essentiel ice tongs, seamlessly slotting together into a single, unified arrangement.

Fornasetti and CC-Tapis

The Italian design house and rug specialist’s vibrant collaboration was a huge hit at Milan Design Week last year and their rugs made a similar impression when presented at the Silvera showroom on boulevard Saint-Germain.

Stene Alexopoulos

The Franco-Greek studio Stene Alexopoulos, founded by Jonathan Stene and Elena Alexopoulos, presented Paris–Athens, its first furniture collection composed of seven pieces. The collection is a fusion of their cultures composed of pieces conceived as “fragments of architecture”.

Pulp Galerie

The gallery’s Plier la matière exhibition is dedicated to the work of Yves de la Tour d’Auvergne – the French postwar and contemporary artist, sculptor and designer who rejected the title of designer in favour of architecte décorateur. The artist viewed his functional pieces – sofas, tables and armchairs – as autonomous sculptures interacting with light and negative space. The show can be seen until 31st October, 2026.

Pinto

Pinto and Friends, a series of collaborations conceived by the design house's creative director Fahad Hariri, brings together four creators and houses, each possessing a singular aesthetic but united in promoting creativity through artisanship. Pinto x Nobilis explores textiles inspired by skin tones – with a printed cane motif and a chicken-wire pattern, a historic Pinto signature, reinterpreted in jacquard. Pinto x Megumi Mihels is a lighting collaboration conceived as  “sculptural suspension”. Furniture materialises through Pinto x Mehdi Dakhli – the designer, curator and creative consultant imagining sculptural pieces, including the Galka sofa, inspired by the organic form of polished pebbles. Pinto x Studio 11.6 explores ceramics with designer Cemre Karataş reworking “the archetype of the vessel, which is transformed by an organic rupture blurring the boundaries between object, sculpture and craftsmanship”.

Lelièvre x Maison Leleu

The fabric house launched the Empreintes fabric and rug collection in collaboration with French furniture house Maison Leleu, juxtaposing archival references with Lelièvre's contemporary jacquards, embroideries, chenilles and velvets. Also revealed was the Première Lumière rug collection designed with Julie Fuillet Studio – a collaboration exploring texture and relief through light.

Molteni&C

The Italian design house unveiled its Edmond sofa and the Leonard armchair by Christophe Delcourt for the first time in France at its Paris flagship store on rue des Saints-Pères. It also revealed the Corsetto armchairs, which mark Cristián Mohaded’s first collaboration with the house, alongside its new Bathroom Collection designed by Vincent Van Duysen and a selection of pieces from the 2026 Indoor Collection.
