Fun facts about Michael Jordan. He’s considered the greatest basketball player of all time, winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. He earned five regular season NBA Most Valuable Player MVP awards, was a 14-time All-Star, and holds the NBA record for the highest career scoring average, slam-dunking 30.12 points per game – all while finding the time to turn his hand to acting. He starred in the movie Space Jam in 1996. Jordan earned billionaire status in 2015, partly through his endorsement deal with Nike, along with lucrative contracts with Hanes, Gatorade and Upper Deck, and Forbes estimates he is currently worth $3.8bn. The sports star has lived a remarkable life watched by millions of fans over the decades. What's next? He's now the subject of an Assouline book Air Jordan, celebrating his 40-year partnership with the Jordan Brand of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories produced by Nike. The collaboration is explored through insider interviews, rare materials from Nike’s private corporate archives and exclusive images of Michael Jordan’s personal keepsakes.
