Time to sparkle
French jewellery maison Chaumet’s association with royalty is a part of its allure. Its founder Marie-Étienne Nitot became the official jeweller to Emperor Napoleon I in 1802 and subsequently the personal jeweller to Empress Joséphine, crafting the famous Wheatear Tiara for her coronation. In more recent years its creations have adorned the decolletage, wrists and ears of Hollywood royalty and Queen Bey is also a fan – the American singer-songwriter and actress dropped the line, "Chaumet on the Place Vendôme" in her song "LOVEHAPPY" on the album Everything Is Love with Jay-Z. The maison continues to draw on nature to realise its Haute Joaillerie, and this Bamboo collection, launched earlier this year, is conceived in that spirit – an ode to Asian culture that will elevate any little black dress during the party season. And, as we are all queens, a tiara is a part of the ensemble.
