Inside the Landmark London spa

This 710sq m temple to wellbeing opened in July with all the trappings of a five-star hotel. The ethos is holistic: imagine yoga followed by a floating sound bath in the pool before a sound therapy massage. At the heart of the spa is a thermal suite, designed to take guests on a journey of “heat, contrast and recovery". The 34°C vitality pool features swan neck hydrotherapy jets, complemented by an aromatic steam room, Finnish sauna, ice fountain, and heated marble loungers and multi-sensory showers. Natural marble and ethereal lighting set the tone for rest and rejuvenation.

There are a plethora of treatments, some of which guests might not have encountered before. Amongst the shared treatment experiences is the Counting Sheep Parent-and-Child Ritual: a 45-minute wellness experience for a parent and child (aged 8-plus), combining a gentle cleanse with a face, shoulder, and scalp massage. It finishes with sleep-inducing tea or hot chocolate in a double treatment suite.

Signature experiences include The Landmark London Elixir (exotic spice exfoliation, warm shell cinnamon massage, and rose facial therapy). But what stands out are the treatments focussed on sleep therapies, which are designed to reset the body’s circadian rhythm. The OSKIA Circadian Syncing Deep Sleep Ritual: a 90-minute treatment engineered to restore the sleep cycle, targeting  nervous system regulation using bodywork and special treatment beds.

There are also mind-body treatments: the Ashmira Botanica Sound Energy Journey is a 90-minute meridian-stimulating massage; while the OSKIA The Eastern Alignment Ritual is inspired by traditional Thai healing principles like acupressure and Thai foot reflexology. There’s also a Therabody Post-Workout Massage: massage, deep stretching, mineralising hot stones, and the science-led Therabody devices.

The spa has five treatment rooms, including a double suite for shared couples’ treatments, and the menu ranges from £70 to £300.

The gym is open 24-hours a day and is decked-out with equipment by Matrix Fitness. Personal training sessions feature tailored or performance-driven programmes. Nutrition is also considered including a special menu to support skin health.

The new retail gallery is stocked with essentials to take home. "It's a place designed for residents and Londoners," says spa manager, Hida Shuleta.
